I thought this plant was called false ginger but can't find anything to support that name. Perhaps someone out there can shed some light on it. I was quite taken with the 'face' of the open flower and it reminds me (a little) of Audrey II, the man eating plant star of Little Shop of Horrors, in miniature. Then again you may have noticed my overactive imagination....
