I'm very pleased with this beaut photo which shows a more colourful ?fly? than I realised with big pink eyes (umm, perhaps it's a reflection of the pink shirt I was wearing. Ha ha ha). You may recognise the twig this colourful beastie is clinging to. Pam published her blue & black bee perched on the very same twig here. I happened to have my camera handy last weekend when she spotted said bug during my visit. So now I'm wondering, is this twig coated in some weird insect attractant or have the local insects merely twigged to a well known neighbourhood rest area?
