I took this photo on 28th April, of what I'm fairly sure is a Cooktown Orchid, which is growing in a hanging pot in my backyard.
I'm amazed at how long the flowers have stuck around, but I suppose that's one of the characteristics of orchids.........I think! :)
There were 3 blooms on the one stalk all up, and there are two still going strongly.
Simply beautiful really!
