This unusual looking plant fills gardens all over the place at Brisbane's Southbank. After taking this photo I visited again a week or two later but nothing further had happened with the "fruit", which look very much like drab monsteria delicio (read a previous blog here). The fronds have a prehistoric look about them I think.
[edit 4/6/11: I love it when I find out the name of a plant. Discovered this is called Zambia or cardboard plant which is native to Mexico and a member of the Cycad family, no wonder it looks prehistoric. Read about them here]
