This beautiful bird is a Royal Spoonbill, which flew into a tree across from the balcony at work. I hadn't realised the face was so colourful before. It must have had its fill of food from the creek because he/she stayed perched up there for some time preening. I'm thinking 'he' because of the length of that crest. I gather it's usually shorter in a female.
