CREPE MYRTLE'S TIME IN THE SUN

I do love a good crepe myrtle (or Lagerstroemia indica) show and they're out in force in my area at the moment, with many subtle variations in colour.  The tree on the left (close up of the flower above it) is a Queen Crepe Myrtle (or Lagerstroemia speciosa), according to the owner. The leaves and flowers are much bigger than the common garden variety I'm used to. Crepe Myrtle grow easily from seed, to which I can attest as I have a couple sprouting up at the moment.  I posted about the white crepe myrtle here last year.
