Originally posted 12.2.10 This little beauty was hiding behind a pot plant & growing out of the ground on a vine that looks a little like Wandering Jew. I think there might've been an accident with the whipper snipper though because I haven't seen it for a while.[edit 21/8/10 - Hooray! Another UFO finally named. This is Gloriosa Lily (Gloriosa superba), a vine which has the potential to be invasive in some areas, 5 to 7 flowers per tuber apparently. Hmmm... can we read anything into my revisiting a red flower on polling day? Then again I don't have a budgie photo to post. Time will tell. Perhaps I'll become as famous as Paul the octopus??]
