I love this jacaranda tree which grows on a farm up the road. Every year orchids flower on the gnarled trunk just before the tree itself bursts into purple bloom. There are crows nests and other ferns or plants growing on the trunk, as well as dietes round the base.
I don't know the name of the orchid but will endeavour to find out.
