ANIMAL CRACKERS XIX - FLIGHT OF FANCY

I've been away in Tasmania which is why I've not posted anything for a while.  Still sorting out photos and recovering from a cold since I returned.
This very pretty flower is called guara and is also known as the butterfly bush, so became a candidate for my Animal Crackers thread (although I've posted about it before but didn't know about that nickname then).  I have turned the photo on the right upside down which I think shows exactly why it earned the nickname.
All the examples in my area are very scrappy at the moment so when I saw this glorious example in Hobart, I couldn't help but take a snap for the blog. Imagine the flowers fluttering in a breeze like it's covered in butterflies.

    1. Thanks Liana glad you liked it. I didn't even know the bee was there until I got it up on the computer. :)

  5. I used to have one of those in the garden but it seems to have disappeared, they are very pretty when they flower. x

  6. Yes, they are beautiful. Wondered if the differing colours depended on the soil. There are some very dark pink ones here. Thanks for visiting
