This very fancy moth settled on my front screen door one day and stayed for some time, despite my opening and closing the door several times. I was quite taken with his/her silvery colouring which would have looked even more beautiful had it landed on a darker background (maybe it is male).
Close up shows that what I thought was part of the pattern is, in fact, feathering.
Front view shows its low profile but doesn't really show much more, not even a smile, perhaps it was asleep.
