More hilarious letterboxes from around the Sunshine Coast for your entertainment.
This first one was only built a month or so ago. I drove past while they were in the middle of construction and went back today to see what it was. You decide. The postie must wonder too. A chook? Or is it a walking fish of some kind? It's eyes are wonky. Have they noticed or perhaps they get a lot of junk mail and it's in a perpetual state of excitement?
This next one is out front of a residence where they save and protect birds, mostly water birds from what I've read. Clever use of junk to advertise their project.
Hmmmmm. This guy looks like he has been waiting a looooonnnnnnggg time for his mail.
Tooot! Toooot! All aboard for the mail....

Love the ingenuity of all of them. Will put my thinking cap on and check my rubbish to see what I can make. Don't hold your breath....
Wow makes my look boring!
ReplyDeleteThey are amazing. You could spray paint yours using old lace so you get a lacey letterbox???
DeleteYep, ours too Joolz! lol. I think the first is a cross of a tee pee and a chook! but like that second one the best with the ingenious use of found/junk objects! Great post Sandy. ♥
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise how smart they'd been until I had a better look at the photo for the 2nd one. I stopped to photograph the "skeleton" in the hard hat and took the bird box as an after thought. Thanks for visiting...
DeleteIt makes the post boxes here look positively pedestrian - although they look better covered with snow.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should start a trend over there Badger???
ReplyDeleteVery cool....
ReplyDeleteWould love to make something that cool. One day.... Thanks for visiting.
