EARLY SPRING CHEER

Venturing out of my usual patch recently, I took a walk with a friend who lives in Samford Valley and we spotted these beautiful jonquils growing along the footpath.  After a bit of research on the net, I believe they are Jonquil Erlicheer (early cheer). My information is that they are beautifully perfumed but can't say I noticed that when I was taking their photo, unfortunately. Cheered us up though...

I was so proud of these shots that I thought I'd publish them. Of course please bear in mind that this comes from the mouth of barely even a novice shooter. But.....I like what I likes!

.....and I liked, no LOVED, this so much that I made it my wallpaper.

.....and I liked how the little guy on this one came up.

This of course is the long(?) shot of my Hippeastrums that I'd hoped would take to their new bed after I re-located them a little while back. Apparently they don't mind it too much at all.

Although I'm sure I had some white with red stripe in amongst them all. Sigh....oh well.
