UP IN THE SKY....

No, it's a plane after all!  Flying into a storm.

Here's another osprey, but he'd picked up a takeaway dinner just before I snapped him, so he had a passenger on board.

Two chaps here, or is it one person with two heads and four legs!

Another solo, ?kite?; just cruising the thermals...

I'd be a bit concerned if there were two moons though.  Would probably mean I was either drunk, concussed or mystically transported to another universe (might also explain the four legged, two headed skydiver I guess)!

REFLECTIONS OF AN EARLY MORNING SKY...

Despite lacking a camera and my glasses this morning, I was really intrigued by the interesting sky as I drove towards the coastline on my way to work.  Luckily, I had my tablet so nipped over the road and took this shot around 7.30am looking out towards the Maroochy River mouth.  Just beautiful.  I really wanted to spent more time admiring the scenery;  alas, work awaited.  I will endeavour to post more often but full time work is cramping my style I must say.

WHERE THERE'S CLOUD, THERE'S NOT ALWAYS SMOKE

 I took the first 2 photos last night of the sunset after a bit of a storm.  Earlier, the sky had looked particularly threatening with greenish storm clouds, although we got no hail here, fortunately. 

  I was struck by how much it looked like there was a huge fire on our doorstep. I might add, I had to climb a ladder and look over roof to see the cloud but I'm glad I did.

I took this photo in Victoria.  Looks like fire headed our way although there was no storm, just a particularly pretty sunset. Mother Nature can be vindictive (and who could blame her?) but she's also spectacular.

SUNRISE, SUNSET...

 This evening I got a different view of Mount Ninderry.  It was sunset and the colours were lovely. It was also interesting because.... 

...this is Mount Ninderry as I normally see it, from my front verandah. The photo was, in fact, a sunrise, taken in March.

MOTHER NATURE SHINES ON REDCLIFFE

Slowly the sun sets, reflecting through the trees, lighting up the shallows...

Gathering clouds showcase the sun's rays for best effect...

Then turn around and see the pretty pastels reflected by clouds out to sea...

MOUNTAIN IN FRAME

Mt Tibrogargan dwarfed by a huge cloud formation, which in turn is casting a huge shadow from the setting sun, on the clouds above it. Quite an interesting effect I thought.

Taken around 6.30pm on Saturday from the car, speeding along at 110kph.

SURF'S UP!

I'm sure I'm not alone in being fascinated by cloud formations and was amazed at how like the seaside surf these 'white caps' were the other day.  Surf was up at the beach and in the sky that morning.  Perhaps I'll take some more interesting clouds in future. I think they're Cirrus but I could be wrong. The cloud below was taken on the same morning (at 7.20am) but closer to home when the rainbow blob caught my eye. Read about interesting clouds here.
