While I was on the phone this morning I noticed this winged beauty land on a shrub outside. After the call finished, I quickly grabbed the camera and took this snap. It was my only shot because I spooked her trying to get closer and she fluttered away. She is an fine example of a large citrus butterfly or papilio aegeus also known as the Orchard Swallowtail (although apparently they don't actually have the swallow tail).
