These little guys on the yellow daisy(?) flowers we found in Arrowtown NZ, which is about a 20min drive NE of Queenstown. They are amazingly, about the size of the first knuckle of my thumb.
These we found on some gorgeous hedges of Lavender in the gardens of a winery/vineyard on the way to Arrowtown. They weren't quite as big as the first bees though.
